To commssion Bill to design, scratchbuild, and/or assemble/kit-bash a model for you, the process is easy. Contact me to discuss the basic idea. Then, if available, send a copy of the plans or photos of the structure, detail, vehicle, or rolling stock item(s) you wish to have modeled. We will then evaluate the cost of materials, special jigs and dies, and other factors and prepare a formal estimate. Once we agree upon a contract price for completion of your project, we will send you 2 copies of the contract. Sign one and return it with a deposit of 25% of the overall cost. The balance plus shipping and insurance will be due prior to delivery. Currently, labor is charged at $45 per hour. Ballpark estimates are free, detailed estimates in writing are charged at 1/2 the hourly rate, which is applied to the balance if the project is undertaken. Minimum 1 hour labor applies to all jobs.
While we attempt to deliver as quickly as possible, the more complex the model subject, the longer the project will take to complete. Expect 4-6 weeks minimum for delivery (I can give you a better idea of timing when the project is undertaken). Remember, quality work takes time! Call or write today!!
